I'd like to see a longer length of data used for the test. And possibly add Learn2Trade channels.

I am doing research on telegram signal providers and seeing some not so favorable opinions on Day Finance. What do you think about Altsignals and Forex Robot Nation? Thanks I appreciate the e-book you provided. I am new and wanting to start Telegram Connector and TelegramFXCopier.

Day finance like a lot i closed 70% at first target 20 in second and 10 in the last, using 1.5% of balance per trade.

did anyone else get a 3% loss for Day Finance for March 2021?

Nick Bishky I think the key is to take a heavier profit at TP1. like 50, 30, 20 for the TPs. I can see from their weekly reports that a lot of trades are +20, which tells me they just hit TP1. Deffo move your stop to BE. the RR with them isn't great I think. close to 1:1 if all targets get hit this way.

Andrew Schmid thanks for that, I'll have to test that out, but my point was that I tried replicating their results using the setting parameters in the attachment from the original post and my results were no where near theirs, so I just wanted to see if anyone else had this issue. I get what you're saying and like I said, I'll have to try that, but I just want to make sure there isn't a problem with the software. I've also had issues with the backtesting software not executing trades based on modifications sent out by signal providers i.e., when a provider says to close a trade or move SL to BE, the backtest software doesn't take that into account and relies solely on the initial signal's TP, SL and entry parameters. I've already gone to the helpdesk, they say the program is being updated but I was hoping to hear if anyone is having success getting accurate backtest results..

Nick Bishky Forwardtesting isn’t looking so hot for them. I’m taking 50 off at TP1 and moving stop to BE. That makes for a little win. Problem is, a full losses completely wipes out all those little wins. I’m looking at the numbers and I think one full SL will wipe out about 7 TP1 winners.

Andrew Schmid Yeah, it's for that reason I'm not a big fan of signal providers that use 3 TPs, they tend to over hype their success rate based on their TP1 hits, but those are miniscule and then like you said, the ones that hit SL, even once, can take away the gains from many trades that hit TP1. I'd much rather stick with a signal provider that gives one TP with an even or greater than 1 risk:reward ratio. It's a plus if the signal provider gives modifications to the signals as well, like move SL to BE or close trade early because they saw something that has changed their strategy on the trade. i'm trying TBTF right now, but the forward testing hasn't been too great either. It's a small sample size and it's only their free signals, so I'm holding out hope, but I definitely like the format of the signals. If I could ever get the backtesting software to work, then I'd love to see how the channel has performed in the past, as well as sign up for the real thing and see how their VIP channel has performed. Alas, the only reliable testing I can do is forward testing. Does anyone else own the backtesting software, and if so, have you gotten it to work?

Here is the idea that must work if you trading more that the minimum amount: for example what if in the 3TP type of signals open only TP3 with 0.10 lot and TP1 and TP2 as 0 lot. Then I will have only one position, but the trailin on each step will still work, so when TP1 is hit, SL move to BE, then when TP2 hit, SL moved to TP1 and so on. We can use channel message “TP 1 Hit” to close partial profit. Do you think this will give more risk management?
